A Small Island That Holds a Lot of Trips

Most Sri Lanka tour packages from India hand you a fixed loop and a headline price. We work the other way around. For a small island, Sri Lanka carries a remarkable number of trips: beaches on two different coasts, tea country in the hills, ancient cities and temples, and some of the best wildlife in Asia. You do not have to choose just one, but you do have to sequence them well, and that is where most fixed packages fall down.

The thing that changes everything here is timing and order: which coast is in season when, whether to start in the hills or the heat, how far it really is between the elephants and the beach. That local judgement is what we bring. You tell us who is travelling and what you are imagining, and we shape a Sri Lanka that fits, then handle the parts that usually go wrong.

The Best Time to Visit Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka has two monsoons, so somewhere on the island is almost always in season. The trick is matching your dates to the right coast.

December to MarchPeak Season

The classic season

The best window for the west and south coasts and the hill country, the route most first trips take. Warm, largely dry days for Colombo, Galle, the tea hills and the southern beaches.

It is the busiest stretch, so the good places are worth booking ahead.

March Ideal 32°C 30°C 32°C

April to SeptemberPeak Season

The east coast's turn

As the south-west monsoon brings rain to the west and south, the weather crosses to the east.

Trincomalee and Arugam Bay come into their own for beaches, surf and calm seas while the other side sits under cloud.

May to SeptemberPeak Season

Green, warm and wet in the south-west

Still hot, but this is the wet half of the year for the west and south. Some days you will barely notice, some it pours.

Prices ease and the hills are at their greenest, a fair trade if you are relaxed and heading mostly inland or east.

October and November

The in-between

The short inter-monsoon, when rain can arrive on either side and the seasons are changing over.

Skies are mixed rather than settled, so we plan these trips with a little more flex and lean on wherever is drier at the time.

How Many Days in Sri Lanka?

Entry and Visa, in Plain Terms

  1. Step 1

    One of the Easy Ones

For Indian passport holders, Sri Lanka is one of the easy ones.

  2. Step 2

    Nothing to Chase

It is not something you need to chase yourself.

  3. Step 3

    We Handle It

We confirm the current requirements for your trip and handle it as part of the booking, so it is simply done before you fly and you can think about the beaches instead.

One Tailored Trip, Not an Off-the-Shelf Package

The difference is in the joins. We book the flights that suit your day, put you in the right base for each stretch of the island, sort the visa, and arrange the driver, the trains and the transfers so no one is standing at a station wondering what happens next. The safari, the hill-country train, the whale boat, all pre-booked and sequenced so the trip flows instead of stalling.

None of it is a fixed bundle. It is one tailored trip, priced and shaped around who is travelling and what matters to you, with a real person accountable from the first message to the flight home. If a plan needs to move while you are there, you call us, not a call centre.

  • Flights that suit your day
  • The right base for each stretch

Sri Lanka Questions, Answered

When is the best time to visit Sri Lanka?

It depends which part. December to March is the classic season for the west and south coasts and the tea hills, the route most first trips take. From April to September the good weather crosses to the east coast. Because the island has two monsoons, somewhere is almost always in season, and we match your dates to the right side.

Do Indians need a visa for Sri Lanka?

It is one of the easier ones for Indian passport holders, and not something you need to chase yourself. We confirm the current requirements for your trip and handle it as part of the booking.

How much does a Sri Lanka trip cost?

Sri Lanka works at almost any level, from simple and characterful to genuinely luxurious, so there is no single answer. Rather than sell you a fixed package, we shape the trip around your budget and tell you honestly where it is worth spending and where it is not.

Is Sri Lanka good for a family trip?

Very. Trains, elephants, beaches and forts make an easy mix for mixed ages, and distances are short enough to keep everyone happy. We plan the pace and the drives around the children travelling.

How many days do I need in Sri Lanka?

Most Sri Lanka trips sit well at eight to ten nights, enough for the ancient cities, the tea hills, a safari and the beaches without rushing. Five to six nights suits a short loop, and twelve or more lets you add the east coast or more time on the sand.

Can you see leopards and elephants?

Yes, in the right parks and the right season the wildlife is superb, from leopards in Yala to the gathering of elephants in the dry months. We time the safaris and pick the parks so you see them well, with a private jeep and a guide rather than a scrum.
