Two Great Capitals, and Everything Around Them

Most Russia tour packages from India hand you a fixed route and a headline price. We work the other way around. Russia is vast, but for most first trips it is really two extraordinary cities, Moscow and St Petersburg, an overnight or a fast train apart, one all power and gold, the other all canals and palaces. Around them sit the fairy-tale Golden Ring, the great railway east and the mild Black Sea south, there when you want to go further.

What matters here is knowing the city: which palace is worth a morning and which a photo, when the White Nights make St Petersburg unmissable, how to see the Hermitage without losing a day to the queue. That judgement is what we bring. You tell us who is travelling and what you are picturing, and we shape a Russia that fits, then handle the parts that usually go wrong.

The Best Time to Visit Russia

Russia swings hard between a warm, alive summer and a deep, dark winter, and the two make completely different trips. Here is how each part of the year feels.

June to AugustPeak Season

Summer, the peak

Long days, warm air and the cities at their best, Moscow and St Petersburg alive, the White Nights lighting the northern sky.

The obvious and the busiest time, so the good hotels and the ballet seats are worth booking well ahead.

MonthDaytime high Rating Moscow & the West St Petersburg & the Baltic Sochi & the Black Sea
June Ideal 22°C 20°C 24°C
July Ideal 24°C 23°C 27°C
August Ideal 22°C 21°C 27°C

May and SeptemberPeak Season

The shoulders

Milder and quieter, the parks and palaces without the peak crowds.

September brings autumn colour to the Golden Ring and a softer light to St Petersburg.

MonthDaytime high Rating Moscow & the West St Petersburg & the Baltic Sochi & the Black Sea
May Ideal 18°C 16°C 20°C
September Ideal 15°C 15°C 24°C

November to March

Deep winter

Moscow and St Petersburg are cold and dark, well below freezing, but snow-lit and genuinely atmospheric if that is the trip you want; the Black Sea coast around Sochi stays milder, with the ski season in the mountains above it.

We plan winter trips around the cold, not against it.

MonthDaytime high Rating Moscow & the West St Petersburg & the Baltic Sochi & the Black Sea
November Good 1°C 2°C 15°C
December Good -3°C -2°C 11°C
January Good -4°C -3°C 10°C
February Good -3°C -3°C 10°C
March Good 3°C 2°C 12°C

April and October

The in-between

Thawing or turning, changeable and quiet, with lower prices.

A fair window if you are relaxed about a mixed forecast and want the cities without the crowds.

MonthDaytime high Rating Moscow & the West St Petersburg & the Baltic Sochi & the Black Sea
April Good 11°C 9°C 16°C
October Good 8°C 8°C 19°C

Entry and Visa, in Plain Terms

  1. Step 1

    Start Early

For Indian passport holders, a trip to Russia takes some planning ahead, so it is worth starting early.

  2. Step 2

    Nothing to Chase

It is not something you need to chase yourself.

  3. Step 3

    We Handle the Application

We confirm the current requirements for your passport, tell you what to prepare, and handle the application as part of the booking so it is done well before you fly.

One Tailored Trip, Not an Off-the-Shelf Package

The difference is in the joins. We book the flights that suit your day, put you in the right neighbourhood in each city, sort the visa, and arrange the fast train between Moscow and St Petersburg and the transfers so no one is standing in a vast station wondering what happens next. The Hermitage timings, the ballet seats, the Kremlin entry, all pre-booked and sequenced so the trip flows instead of stalling.

None of it is a fixed bundle. It is one tailored trip, priced and shaped around who is travelling and what matters to you, with a real person accountable from the first message to the flight home. If a plan needs to move while you are there, you call us, not a call centre.

Russia Questions, Answered

When is the best time to visit Russia?

June to August is the peak, when Moscow and St Petersburg are warm and alive and St Petersburg has its White Nights. May and September are quieter shoulders. Winter is cold and dark in the two capitals but genuinely atmospheric, and the Black Sea south around Sochi stays milder.

Do Indians need a visa for Russia?

Yes, and it is worth starting early. It is not something you chase yourself, though. We confirm the current requirements for your passport and handle the application as part of your trip.

How much does a Russia trip cost?

Russia spans a wide range, from smart and sensible to genuinely grand, so there is no single answer. Rather than sell you a fixed package, we shape the trip around your budget and tell you honestly where it is worth spending and where it is not.

Is Moscow or St Petersburg better?

They are different, and most trips do both. Moscow is power, scale and gold, the Kremlin and Red Square. St Petersburg is elegance, canals and palaces, the more romantic of the two. A fast train links them, so you do not have to choose.

How many days do I need in Russia?

Most Russia trips sit well at six to eight nights, enough for Moscow and St Petersburg with the train between them, without rushing. Four to five nights suits one city, and ten or more lets you add the Golden Ring, Sochi or the railway east.

Is Russia easy for Indian travellers?

The tourist cities are straightforward and the sights are extraordinary. The main friction is the language and the Cyrillic script, which is exactly what we smooth out, with the guides, the transfers and the reservations handled so it feels easy from the moment you land.
